Penny knows what is needed and gives something essential, something real. Aaron recommends a biting piece about living in America on low-wage salaries, while Susan has two suggestions, one a great satire and the other a children’s classic. She seems to tack on a Bible verse occasionally in order to call it Christian fiction. However, having read other Christian authors who weave into their work authentic principles of the Christian life, I found this author falls short in that department. Susan and Aaron celebrate Labor Day (belatedly) by recommending books about the working world, both fiction and nonfiction. 'A Penny for Your Thoughts' is not a childrens book, but it is a poetry book of feelings - of love and friendship and all various associated emotions. I enjoyed reading the story of Penny for Your Thoughts and found it drew me into the story. A quaint southern romance This was a cute and totally enjoyable story with not only charming characters but with interesting secondary characters that capture your interest.
